Ovidio Piano System™ – Book 1 Beginner Piano Pieces for Fast & Solid Progress
Choosing the right graded piano repertoire is one of the most complex and
decisive challenges for both piano students and teachers. Music that is too easy
slows progress and reduces engagement; music that is too difficult creates
frustration and technical gaps. The right repertoire, chosen at the right moment,
is the fastest and most effective way to develop strong reading skills, finger
control, coordination, memory, and musical visualization.
This 5-book graded piano library was created by Ovidio De Ferrari, pianist,
composer, and piano teacher with over 40 years of professional teaching
experience, and founder of the Ovidio Music Institute. It is the result of decades
of real teaching practice, observation, and refinement with students of all ages
and levels.
The collection includes 5 progressive books (Levels 1–5), featuring 60 favorite
piano pieces across more than 100 pages. Each piece is carefully designed to
guide the student step by step, maintaining high motivation while building solid
technical and musical foundations in the shortest and most natural learning path
possible.
All music sheets in this collection include clear and complete signs of musical
expression, such as dynamics, accentuation, articulation, and phrasing, as well
as pedal indications and carefully considered fingerings. These elements are
intentionally integrated to guide the student toward correct fluency, natural
coordination, and expressive playing from the earliest stages, ensuring a clear
musical direction and technically sound interpretation.
This library is not a random selection of pieces, but a structured pedagogical
system, officially used and developed within the Ovidio Music Institute — now
made accessible for students, parents, and teachers worldwide.
